The Rear Veranda

The front veranda is for those just passing by, but the rear veranda is for those who are lingering. It’s a place of gathering as the day begins, on a warm afternoon, or as the sun sets on the day. Peace, joy, and renewal happen on the rear veranda through laughter, tears, and revelation!
One of my favorite places was a rear veranda at our mission compound in Masaka, Uganda. My friends and I would relax and watch our children run and play during lazy afternoons. Our teen girls would do each other’s hair in the mornings. Mid day Bible study and evening tea were shared on that veranda.
This site is a place to share, grow, and enjoy. It's a comfortable place for us to gather, and share some joy and a bit of wisdom. Welcome!
